When reviewing different brands of plasma screen we noticed a difference in quality between brands.  In a recent conversation with our distributor we came across these interesting facts about the Pioneer screens.

The largest screen Pioneer currently makes 60 inches.  As far as our vendor knows they have no plans to make anything larger, though they will have a 1080 dpi screen coming out in the fall.

 The reason Pioneer has better color is two fold.

1) Pioneer uses a deeper cell technology, which both increases the black level and amount of phospor in the cell.

2)Pioneer uses the first survace color technology instead of the third layer of glass.

Cell structure is the key to good contrast and color.
